New Plan

May 26th, 2009

moleskine-planneripod.jpgSince I like to plan, I have decided to set up a schedule for myself. I really need to get a job to pay bills, go shopping, and start setting money aside to pay my student loan. Chris and I are planning to buy a house sometime this year so I REALLY need to have money for that. I hate how the job market is sucking and really making things difficult but such is life. I just need to keep looking and try my best not to get stressed or discouraged.  Anywho, here is this schedule that I am going to attempt to follow.

  • Wake up @ 7
  • Gym @ 8
  • Errands/Cleaning 9:30-11
  • Job hunting 11-1:30
  • Break 1:30-2
  • Job hunting 2-5
  • Get stuff done 5-6
  • Study for GMAT 6-8
  • Get stuff done 8-9
  • Read/Relax 9-10
  • Sleepy time 10

I’m hoping to follow this schedule to keep me on track with the job hunt and with the time allotted for reading I will be able to get through more books. I also hope to get that a designated studying time will help me with the GMAT. I want to take this year so I can start grad school Fall ‘10.

Break out the White!

May 26th, 2009

Now that Memorial Day is over we can now wear white! Even with the green light for white, this isn’t something that I usually wear. Some of my reasons:

1. I look shorter. White does no elongate me. I like to look taller whenever I can.

2. I always took summer classes and I never got out in the sun long enough to tan. White really washes me out so I NEED to be tan if I want to sport a white dress/pants/shorts/skirt. Now that I am out of school I hope to tan and not look sick in a white dress.

3. Not only does it make me look short but it makes me look fat. Well, the pants at least. I have only owned one pair of white pants that looks good on me. I still have them and I will be wearing them. They are also the only ones the make me look a bit taller. I love Talbots.

Anyways, I fould some cute stuff I would like to wear. I’m excited to break out my white Guess bag. I bought it last year and I love it! I wore the hell out of until Labor Day and I may do the same this summer.

whitedress1.png This is such a cute dress from Ann Taylor. The best part is that it had pockets! Love pockets. I also like the pleated neck. Not sure how that would look on me but it is a cute dress!

I am also liking these pants from The GAP. Its been a while since I shopped there but their petite section is a good fit for me. I might pick these up if the look good on me.  pants.png

I love this purse. Definitely one of my favorites! It was my reward for getting through a stressful semester.

New found Collection

May 25th, 2009

I finally found something to collect! I have never been one to collect things but I have finally found something that I want to collect and its…tea cups and matching saucers :) I have 3 already! I went to an antique with Chris’ parents while he worked on his car and I found 2 great cups at awesome prices. I told Chris that when we get a house I’m buying something to put in my cups so I can display them and then he called me old. He said we would look like old people…great. I’m gonna buy it anyways! Here are my 2 great finds of the weekend.

I love them. The one from Germany is super different. The one from England is made by a company formed in the 1850’s! How cool is that?!? I need to do more research so that I can find out what exact period they are from.
