Mi Bella Vida

April 30th, 2009

Chris and I have been talking about getting a house by the end of the year and I am all for it. Finally I get a chance to decorate and do things the way I want. I will no longer have boring home, like I do now. The apartment has NO decoration whatsoever. Can’t do anything to it, can’t even hang a picture b/c they will charge us for the hole we made. LAME. When we get a house I get to paint and buying stuff. So exciting. I have already been looking at what  I want, probably won’t get that but a girl can dream :)

My favorite part of any home is the kitchen.  Granted I don’t cook much at the moment, I do love to eat. We really want a big kitchen with an open floor plan and lots of counter space. My parents have an island in their kitchen and I love that. I want one too! We probably won’t be getting everything we want out of our first home but its ok. I would like a kitchen kinda like this :

kg-full.jpg I love the dark wood and the openess of it all. Granite countertops are beautiful! I could see myself hanging out in there, pretending to cook.

After a long day in the kitchen I want to retreat to an awesome living to watch tv or read. Both Chris and I do not like clutter so something like these would be nice.

We both a really want an awesome bathroom. Like super, super cool. Double vanity, separate tub and shower, huge mirrors, and granite counter tops… *drool*

So pretty  :)

Finally the bedroom.

Since I am going to get that awesome closet there is no need for my to have any drawers out in the bedroom. No clutter and nothing around :)

Too bad this is not going to be my first home. I will prob get something simple but when I get my house build it will look super cool, like these pictures.

Healthy Living

April 28th, 2009

Recently I got back into working out and eating right. I used to be like that all the time but then I got a boyfriend and I felt that I had better used of my time instead of going to the gym. Well, that turned out to be a bad idea.  I stopped going to the gym and that led to weight gain and unhealthy eating habits. On top of me getting lazy there was school and work. My schedule was getting so crazy that I had almost no time to go to the gym. I decided to change that this semester and get back into shape. That plan failed me for 3 1/2 months because I was so sick. Luckily I did lose some weight due to sickness! 10 lbs to be exact :) Now I am all better and I have started to go running. I made the mistake of running 3 miles last night and now I feel like death…yay. I have also started to eat better and try my best not to snack on junk food anymore. That usually works out during the week because we don’t have any junk food at the apartment but when we go to Chris’ mom’s house I fail. She has pringles, chips, and ice cream. All I want to do is eat, eat, eat. Chris has better will power than I do and I envy him. I’m gonna do my best and be strong this weekend. I’.m not gonna eat any junk food, no sir. I feel like I just ranted this whole paragraph, so I’m gonna get straight to it.

I bought a book over the weekend called ‘Breakthrough’ and it was written by Suzanne Somers. I just started reading it 2 days ago but I find it very interesting already. I am all for doing things naturally before getting an medication or going to the doctor. My main reason for not going to the doctor first is because I hate doctors but I do believe that we are too dependent on medications. I do believe that a lot of these medicines are just band aids not really curing anything.  I still think that doctors and medicine is necessary because you can only do so much on your own.  I was antibiotics about a week ago but that was only because my allergies were so bad that  I wasn’t getting better doing things my way. Turns out my allergies developed into a bacterial infection keeping me from getting better. Of course I would need doctors and medication when it got to that extreme. I really believe that this book is going to be a useful learning tool that will help me take better care of myself. Not going to be a complete hippie and do some kind dance to the Gods to find a cure, lol. I’m gonna get me some medicine!

I was proof reading and there are some grammar mistakes and I apologize for not going back to fix them. I have a test that I need to be studying for right now but decided to slack instead.

Happy Tuesday!
